As a child of the 90s with an older brother who was into building computers and networking, I was immersed in the cult of LAN parties. Among my friends we had two types: computer LAN parties, and eventually X-box 1 LANs.

I highly recommend finding DRM free games and getting together with your buddies for an old fashion LAN party. The social component is the best part. The screaming, the laughing, the food, the stories — it all makes for some awesome memories.
